Job Summary

Pye Barker Fire and Safety LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler System Inspector, you will be responsible for performing building sprinkler and fire alarm inspections, testing devices, and generating reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of building sprinkler and fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Test and verify the functionality of sprinkler control panels, devices, and systems.
  • Record and generate inspection reports, including Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Fire Alarm Inspection Reports, and Inspection Certificates.
  • Assist the Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating necessary paperwork.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • 2 years' experience as a Sprinkler/Fire Alarm Inspector.
  • Sprinkler & Fire Alarm license or NICET level 2 certificate.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Palm unit operating systems.
Physical Requirements

This role requires working in an industrial, commercial, and residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels. The position involves standing, walking stairs, and climbing ladders, with occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
