Customer Service Representative

As a Consumer Support Specialist at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our patients, members, and communities. This position requires a unique blend of customer service and security skills, making it an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level customer service to patients, visitors, and team members.
- Assist locations with modernized registration support and provide security support when needed.
- Act as an agent to support and encourage self-service models of patient registration.
- Document information on incident reports and other required documents in a thorough, factual, and timely manner.
- Assist team members, visitors, and patients with directions, lost and found items, vehicle assistance, escorts, and other requests for assistance.
- Provide access control for secured areas.
- Communicate, collaborate with, and provide appropriate information to patients, visitors, and members of the health care team.
- Manage verbal/physical conflicts using verbal de-escalation, physical presence, restraint techniques, or other appropriate legal force options.
- Engage in continuous study of the entire professional field, including best practices, to maintain professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Complete required ongoing training and education, including department-specific requirements. Maintain required licensure and certifications.
- Serve as a concierge, greeting and communicating with patients or visitors, including hospitality assistance and collecting payments and co-payments.
- Perform patient registration and check-in, confirming patient demographic and insurance information, and assisting patients with kiosk registration.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- At least 21 years of age with a valid Michigan driver's license
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire
- CRT-First Aid - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Business, or Criminal Justice, or vocational/technical experience or 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, law enforcement, or military.
