We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at LUKE. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional oral health care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients' oral cavities to identify any abnormalities or issues.
- Record patient conditions and refer them to a dentist if necessary.
- Apply desensitizing agents and other topical treatments to prevent oral health issues.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
- Take impressions and construct mouth guards and night guards as needed.
- Polish restorations and apply pit and fissure sealants.
- Record patient treatment and maintain instruments in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
- Successful completion of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Pass the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE).
- Certification in radiography.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- U.S. citizenship.
- English language proficiency.
Working Conditions:
Services will be provided Monday through Friday for an 8.5-hour shift, with a 30-minute meal break. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
