Network Administrator

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join its team at the Watervliet, NY Arsenal Site location.

The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial control environments (ICN) and be able to establish and maintain a network with the capability of 50% growth.

Responsibilities will include receiving and maintaining network, communications, and related operating systems from various sources, as well as installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network and application server hardware and software.

The Network Administrator will also be responsible for developing and maintaining local procedures for networks, system operations, and product assembly and installation, as well as implementing network operating system and/or application software and maintaining contact with software suppliers.

Additional duties will include conducting testing to ensure operability, efficiency, and compliance with existing standards, monitoring the operation of the network, and ensuring that hardware and software are functioning properly.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Domain Name System (DNS) server experience, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server experience, and will be able to obtain CompTIA SEC+ (Security Plus) or equivalent certification CCNA/CCNP before start date.

A Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is also required, as well as the ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
