VDC Coordinator

Way Engineering is a leading mechanical contractor specializing in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, and maintenance of these systems. We are seeking a skilled VDC Coordinator to support our team in delivering high-quality projects.

• Develop and implement VDC initiatives and technology platforms on projects to ensure successful deployment.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish a BIM/VDC execution strategy and provide project-specific support and expertise.
• Oversee project-specific VDC strategies, scope, and plans, ensuring adherence to WAY's best practices and high standards for predictable and efficient VDC delivery.
• Prepare and manage sign-off sheets to ensure project compliance.
• Ensure each project utilizes the Project VDC Execution Plan and adheres to contractual requirements.
• Provide guidance and support with contract language for BIM scopes.
• Review trade partner BIM qualifications and advise project teams.
• As a detailer, possess a working knowledge of mechanical/plumbing systems being designed, with the ability to take direction from the lead detailer.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Minimum 2-7+ years of construction technologies and hands-on experience in the AEC industry driving the adoption of VDC on large capital projects.
• Strong graphical, illustration, and documentation skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms.
• Strong knowledge of contractor-facing authoring and collaboration tools.
• Expert in leveraging and supporting Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
• Ability to quickly learn new software tools.
