As a Dermatology Assistant at Forefront Dermatology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of dermatologists. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization that is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and advancing the field of dermatology.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Room patients and document all vital information prior to exam with provider, including chief complaint, medical history, family history, social history, review of systems, and scribes all information for the provider regarding the patient encounter.
- Obtain informed consents from patients prior to procedures.
- Procedure Support
- Assist providers with or under the supervision of providers to perform procedures, including surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, electrodessication and curettage, phlebotomy, phototherapy, injections, patch testing, instrument sterilization, and blue light.
- Administrative Support
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments following company protocols, procedures, and physician schedule templates.
- Record required information on patient logs, including pathology, biopsy, lab, and temperature.
- Continuous Learning
- Continually learn and be able to explain new and existing dermatological conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
