Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Optomechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at KLA. As an Optomechanical Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of cutting-edge EBEAM tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex opto-mechanical subsystems, including precision mechanical components and subsystems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers worldwide to develop reliable solutions for KLA's next generation e-beam tools.
  • Requirement Specification: Understand and drive system and subsystem requirement specifications.
  • Design Review: Lead concept and detailed designs, including design reviews.
  • Material and Component Selection: Guide the selection of materials and components for optical and opto-mechanical systems, precision drives, and actuators.
  • Feasibility Studies and Proof of Concepts: Propose feasibility studies and proof of concepts.
  • Testing: Drive the definition of test criteria and build test plans for functional prototypes.
  • Release Process: Guide the release process according to KLA's standard processes.
  • System-Level Discussions: Work with multi-functional groups and lead system-level discussions, including the impact on overall system performance.
  • Problem Solving: Lead problem-solving activities at the subsystem and system levels.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in opto-mechanical design and development, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong understanding of optical principles, mechanical design, and opto-mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
