We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a normalized, therapeutic, and safe environment that promotes positive self-esteem and encourages independence.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior plans to support clients with mental or developmental disabilities
  • Teach self-care skills, including personal hygiene and daily living tasks
  • Prepare and serve meals that meet specific client dietary needs
  • Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing
  • Complete housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming and washing dishes
  • Help plan client appointments and organize schedules
  • Organize transportation arrangements to appointments
  • Encourage client engagement in social networks and communities
  • Adhere to our organization's Code of Ethics and effectively communicate our mission, vision, and values
  • Accurately document service provision, daily notes, and other information as required

Qualifications:
  • SCIP Certification/Training preferred
  • CPR/BLS preferred
  • Must be beyond probationary period
  • Must have no disciplinary action on file for past 12 months

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more
  • Daily standing, bending, and lifting
  • Must be able to stand for at least eight hours at a time
