We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Operations Director to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure maximum plant capacity, minimal cost, and high plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Systems Management: Develop and manage maintenance systems associated with high-performing manufacturing organizations, including Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Maintenance Staff and Safety: Manage the maintenance staff through delegation, policy administration, assignment of work responsibilities, planning, organizing, directing, and follow-up of work assignments. Promote plant safety performance through administration, enforcement of company and plant policies, and training consistent with the objectives of Smithfield and in compliance with Federal and State agencies.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high-level organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
