Position Summary:
We are seeking a Sanitation Operations Leader with over a decade of experience in the dairy or food processing sector, including a minimum of five years focused on sanitation and Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Sanitation Operations Leader, you will serve as a key technical authority on cleaning methodologies, sanitation innovations, and the chemistry of cleaning agents. Your role will encompass:

  • Driving continuous enhancements in sanitation technologies and outlining effective cleaning protocols.
  • Overseeing the sanitation program to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Master Sanitation Schedule, and Environmental Monitoring.
  • Collaborating with various departments, including operations, engineering, and quality assurance, to uphold food safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Developing, validating, and implementing sanitation procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.

What You Will Do:
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the sanitation program to meet strategic objectives and performance indicators.
  • Maintaining and updating plant SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Supervising and training sanitation personnel to foster a robust sanitation culture.
  • Providing expert guidance on hygienic design and sanitation requirements.
  • Conducting audits and root cause analyses to address sanitation issues.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of sanitation practices in food facilities, particularly in dairy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education and Experience:
Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in dairy or food processing, with a preference for candidates holding a B.S. in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sanitation within the food processing industry.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
