Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist In Charge/Site Manager to oversee our pharmacy operations within a specialized clinical setting. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with both state and federal pharmacy regulations while managing the overall functionality of the pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacist Site Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing all pharmacy operations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Participating in the budgeting process and implementing site-specific financial plans.
- Maintaining effective inventory control and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
- Collaborating with the regional manager on strategic planning and quality assurance initiatives.
- Leading a team of pharmacists and technicians, fostering a culture of professional development and high performance.
Patient Care
In this role, you will also provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including:
- Patient counseling and drug therapy evaluations.
- Identifying training needs and coordinating educational opportunities for staff.
- Executing the duties of a Staff Pharmacist as required by scheduling.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A valid registration with the MN Board of Pharmacy.
- A minimum of three years of pharmacist experience in a complex healthcare environment, with a preference for at least one year in oncology.
- Knowledge of USP 797 standards and their application in practice.
