Position Overview:
This full-time role is integral to supporting Aviation Maintenance Services. The position may involve variable shifts and travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts flights and demonstrates expertise during standardization flights on various aircraft.
- Performs essential calculations for weight and balance, as well as performance metrics for takeoff, cruise, and landing configurations of qualified aircraft.
- Implements pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight protocols in accordance with applicable directives.
- Executes operational ground checks, taxi checks, and hover checks on rotary-wing aircraft, including functional check flights and maintenance test flights.
- Determines the airworthiness of aircraft prior to customer release, following technical publications and company guidelines.
- Diagnoses aircraft issues both on the ground and in-flight, providing recommendations to ground personnel for corrective actions.
- Conducts recovery and ferry flights as necessary.
- Instructs maintenance staff on aircraft ground run-up and taxi operations to facilitate certification readiness.
- Stays informed and complies with FAA regulations and local safety protocols relevant to the role.
- Maintains proficiency in fundamental flight maneuvers, emergency procedures, and instrument flying as per technical publications.
- Briefs flight crew and non-crew members on operational and emergency procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Engages in ongoing study and personal development to enhance skills necessary for aircraft operation.
- Operates motor vehicles as part of assigned duties.
- Completes necessary records to document aircraft and engine performance data accurately.
- Utilizes Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) for maintenance documentation, achieving proficiency within the specified timeframe.
- Participates in instrument flight simulator training as required.
- May be tasked with flying profile flights, including NVG, PNVS, and tactical operations.
