Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide primary medical care to patients, assisting in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimizing the effects of chronic conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence within our organization.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to maintain 50 hours of continuing medical education (CME) over two years.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
