Child Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Child Nutrition Worker to join our team at Zapata County ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to meet menu requirements, while maintaining high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.

• Prepare and serve food to meet menu requirements
• Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices
• Work effectively and harmoniously with administrators and other staff
• Understand food preparation and safety instructions
• Operate large and small kitchen equipment and tools
• Perform basic arithmetic operations
• Work on a team

• Ability to read and understand instructions for maintenance and safety procedures
• Ability to read and understand recipe instructions
• Ability to perform duties of the position under direct supervision
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
