Shepherd Center, a leading provider of medical treatment, research, and rehabilitation services, is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team.

As a Physical Therapist at Shepherd Center, you will play a critical role in helping patients with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes, and other neuromuscular conditions achieve optimal recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical and functional status, including muscular strength, motor functions, reflexes, ambulation skills, and ability to perform activities of daily living.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to improve patients' functional skills, which are periodically reassessed and adapted.
  • Provide patient and family training to ensure proper care and use of equipment.
  • Schedule patients for specialty clinics and programs as needed.
  • Determine and order/recommend appropriate durable medical equipment in consultation with patients, caregivers, payer sources, and team members.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current licensure to practice in the state of Georgia.
  • Two years of recent clinical experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, concussions, and vestibular disorders.
Working Conditions:

Normal patient care environment with some potential exposure to blood and body fluids and infectious viruses.
