We are currently seeking a Staff Scientist to oversee a research laboratory, spearhead investigative projects, and support a variety of research initiatives while mentoring laboratory personnel. This position also requires adherence to laboratory safety standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and enforce operational guidelines and procedures for the laboratory.
  • Establish strategic objectives for the lab, propose innovative projects, and identify potential funding opportunities.
  • Conduct independent research endeavors and collaborate with fellow researchers.
  • Gather and analyze data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and remain informed about ongoing research in the field.
  • Supervise laboratory staff, including recruitment, training, and performance assessments.
  • Engage in teaching, grant applications, and presenting research outcomes at scientific conferences.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to fulfill the position's responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.D. is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 36 months of experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow is required.

  • In-depth knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline.
  • Proficient in data analysis, relationship building, and effective communication.
  • Skilled in writing technical documents, grant proposals, and presenting research findings.
  • Detail-oriented, capable of managing stress, and meeting deadlines.

  • Environmental: Exposure to chemicals, biohazards, and various materials.
