Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem Nurse to join our team in Marinette, Wisconsin. As a Per Diem Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in an oncology setting, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing care to patients, assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, prioritizing care based on essential patient needs.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, updating them on patient status and collaborating on care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to agency, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in community education programs and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in an acute care nursing setting, including experience in oncology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, as well as blood and body fluids, and communicable disease.
