Job Summary

The Surgical Tech is an allied health professional who plays a crucial role in the operating room team. Under the supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse, the Surgical Tech ensures a safe and efficient operating environment, applies sterile and aseptic techniques, and supports the physician's performance of invasive procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing the operating room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Apply sterile and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Support the surgeon and other medical staff during procedures, providing assistance as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Surgical Technician.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or Military training in Surgical Technology.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification within 12 months of completing a Surgical Technology program.
