- Make provisions for the appropriate health care needs of students, infants, and toddlers.
- Work under the supervision and direction of the school principal.
- Serve as a liaison with health providers to ensure high-quality health care services.
- Arrange for the Health Department to provide on-site clinical services.
- Participate in case conference meetings.
- Assist physicians with patient care.
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies for the clinic.
- Prepare clinical charts and give medication as prescribed by physicians.
- Apply nursing principles and techniques in the care and treatment of patients.
- Perform related work as required or assigned.
This role requires the following physical activities: mobility, sitting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Frequent in-county travel and occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements- Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with F.S. 464 or eligibility to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 210-8.
- Certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in accordance with Florida Statute 464.
