Key Responsibilities:- Manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, and quality standards.
- Effectively calculate construction costs for changes and negotiate equitable contract adjustments.
- Conduct meetings to resolve problems on construction projects and brief clients and management personnel.
- Maintain official construction site records and prepare correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with building code requirements and scheduling methods.
- Make materials take-offs for construction work, price the value of needed work, and negotiate equitable contract adjustments.
- Manage crises and conflict resolution with finesse.
- Implement safety practices in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of project experience in the construction industry.
- Proven working experience in construction management.
- In-depth knowledge of all facets of the construction process including interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records.
- Experience in conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects, and briefing clients and management personnel.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
- In-depth knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods.
- Expertise in calculating construction costs for changes.
- Knowledge of safety practices in the construction industry, including a background of familiarity with OSHA safety requirements on construction projects.
- Knowledge of TJC is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
