Procurement Specialist

Salary: $32.50-$40.50 per hour

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team at Augmentation, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD.

The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring goods and services to support the company's operations. This includes working closely with site personnel, including Program Managers, Quality Engineering, and other Buyers to drive essential projects aimed at achieving cost savings targets.

As a critical interface between site personnel and the Supply Chain, the Procurement Specialist will participate in the development and management of supplier contracts and long-term agreements. They will also play a strategic and tactical role in formulating partnerships with suppliers to meet cost and schedule requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in procurement in a technical environment. They should have experience with MRP systems, SAP, and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing indirect and direct materials, coordinating rework/replacement of non-conforming material, and expediting components and part shortages to meet customer demand.

They will also submit RFQs to suppliers, ensure timely quote return, and work with Supply Chain Manager and Sr. Buyer/Planner to satisfy requirements of RFQ packages for programs.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to create and implement complex processes. They should also be data-driven and process-oriented, with an ability to consistently meet commitments and attain stretch performance measures without direct oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing indirect and direct materials
