Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Newborn Hearing Screener to join our team at Infant Hearing Screening Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting hearing screens on newborns and infants, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hearing screens on newborns and infants in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow strict guidelines for patient identification and result labeling.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient results and screening equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support CPR certification required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be working in a standard hospital environment with exposure to human waste, blood, and other body secretions. It is essential to take necessary precautions to protect yourself from injury or illness.

Clearance Requirements

You will be required to provide proof of the following immunizations and lab work at your own expense:

  • COVID-19 vaccine record.
  • Seasonal influenza shot.
  • TB Test within one year or a current TB chest X-ray within three years.
  • Two MMR immunization records or blood titer (with quantitative values).
  • Two Varicella immunization records or blood titer (with quantitative values).
  • Tdap immunization record dated within ten years.
  • Hepatitis B immunizations: either series of 3, blood titer (with quantitative values).
