Key Responsibilities- Collect samples of air, dust, soil, water, and other materials from various sites.
- Conduct inspections for hazardous materials, including sampling for lead-based paint and other regulated substances.
- Analyze and interpret collected data to inform environmental assessments.
- Evaluate health and safety conditions at client locations through thorough investigations.
- Prepare and submit detailed Daily Field Reports to document findings.
- Operate relevant field equipment independently and efficiently.
- Perform additional field and office tasks as required.
- Adhere to safe work practices on all project assignments.
Essential Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A demonstrated ability to solve problems in a team-oriented manner and strong interpersonal skills for client interactions are required.
Organizational Abilities:
Dependability, accuracy, and exceptional organizational skills are crucial. You must possess excellent time management skills, enabling you to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Travel Requirements:
A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are mandatory. Reliable transportation is required, as fieldwork will take place at various job sites.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
CertificationsLead Inspector/Risk Assessor/EBL Investigator Certifications are required for this position.
Work EnvironmentThis role may involve working in both field and office settings, potentially during non-standard hours. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, and working in varying environmental conditions.
