We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Flowers Baking Company of Knoxville. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our bakery equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Respond to and correct equipment stoppages and mechanical breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and repair or replace worn or defective parts.
- Operate machine shop equipment, hand tools, and power hand tools to make required parts and perform repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules.
- One or more years of experience as a technician and/or formal training or experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; welding, electronics, electrical repairs, industrial equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalency plus no less than a 9/12 month vocational/technical certification course. Equivalent military training, other related technical training, or two or more years of college education may be substituted for vocational technical training.
- Experience with SAP and proficiency in data input, data retrieval, reporting, and other functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
