Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specimen analysis of Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, and Urinalysis
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes
  • Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and participate in proficiency testing
  • Prepare smears and perform manual differentials
  • Process specimens for reference laboratory testing
  • Maintain adequate supplies and reagents
  • Assist with special procedures, such as bone marrow analysis
  • Perform phlebotomy and sample collection procedures as needed
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Medical Technology or related field
  • Current state license (if required)
  • AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification (within 9 months of hire)
  • Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with EMR and LIS systems
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The Medical Laboratory Technician will work in a laboratory setting, with frequent interaction with healthcare professionals and patients.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. The Medical Laboratory Technician must also have corrected vision, color perception, and hearing to normal range.
