Job Summary:

Columbia Elementary School is seeking a qualified Behavior Technician I to join our team. As a Behavior Technician I, you will work with children to provide behavioral support and interventions. This is a 9-month contract position with a starting salary of $16.04 per hour for those with a high school diploma and ParaPro test score of 464 or higher, or $16.40 per hour for those with an Associate's degree or higher.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education, or a ParaPro test score of 464 or higher. A year of experience working with children is preferred. The candidate must also have a valid Florida driver's license. The Behavior Technician I will work under the supervision of a certified teacher or other qualified professional to provide behavioral support and interventions to students. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
