Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Economics Instructor to join our faculty at Terra Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching macroeconomics and microeconomics courses, as well as other related duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and teach courses that meet the current curriculum goals and objectives.
  • Remain current with subject matter and instructional methodology.
  • Assure consistency in the planning, preparation, and administration of course content, syllabi, outlines, and other teaching materials.
  • Work effectively with students and challenge them appropriately with an acceptable level of civility and discourse.
  • Communicate progress in the course to students in a timely manner.
  • Employ appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving course goals and objectives.
  • Determine and submit students' grades in accordance with established College policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Economics or a related field (including at least 18 graduate semester hours) that supports the teaching of microeconomics or macroeconomics.
  • Previous college-level teaching experience is preferred.
