Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Citrus Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive and supportive environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfer of residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
  • Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned.
  • Participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care.
  • Provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care.
  • Prepare residents for meals and transport them to the dining room, ensuring that food trays are accessible and self-help devices are available as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of food intake and output, as directed.
  • Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control.
  • Take TPR (temperature, pulse, and rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.
  • Promptly answer call lights and assist with other resident needs.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
Requirements:
  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state of Florida.
  • Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
  • At least one year of Skilled Nursing experience, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
