About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at The Columbus Organization. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental and behavioral health of our patients at our inpatient mental health facility in Logansport, IN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to patients with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct group and individual therapy sessions to promote cognitive skill building and stabilization.
  • Participate in program development and evaluation to ensure the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed in Indiana with HSPP or eligible for licensure.
  • Background/experience/training in forensic psychiatry a plus.
  • Experience in inpatient, corrections, or forensics preferred.
  • Background/experience with EMDR.
  • Ability to effectively utilize hospital technology.

About Our Facility

Our hospital functions under two service lines, providing care to adults with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. Our 88-bed, four-unit forensic service line serves male patients who are incompetent to stand trial, have served their sentences with the Department of Correction, and continue to need mental health services. Our second service line, an 82-bed, four-unit, provides specialty programs for sexual responsibility programming, female forensic services, and individuals who require programming focused on cognitive skill building and stabilization.
