Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install structural steel components in accordance with detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Execute welding and bolting tasks to ensure the secure attachment of structural elements.
- Utilize various tools and machinery to measure, cut, and fabricate steel beams and columns.
- Safely operate cranes and aerial lifts for the positioning of structural components.
- Conduct thorough inspections to verify structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow team members, including welders, fabricators, and engineers, to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols to promote a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Iron Worker within the construction sector.
- In-depth knowledge of structural steel components and installation techniques.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated capability to operate cranes, aerial lifts, and other construction machinery safely.
- Exceptional welding and bolting skills.
- Familiarity with industry safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and adapt to varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug testing.
