Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description

As a Veterinary Care Specialist at Paz Veterinary, you'll be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes patient care and customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing top-notch customer service and support to our clients and their pets
  • Conducting room management and digital record keeping tasks
  • Assisting with patient handling and restraint procedures
  • Administering medications and filling prescriptions as needed
  • Performing venipuncture, IVC placement, digital radiology, and other diagnostic tests
  • Participating in dental prophylaxis, cytology, and blood work
  • Supporting peri-operative care and assisting with tech appointments
  • Answering phone calls and helping clients schedule appointments and answer pet health questions
  • Interpreting veterinarian orders and protocols to ensure seamless operations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of small animal tech experience (current coursework may be considered)
  • A working knowledge of veterinary terminology, supplies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
  • The ability to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods
  • The capacity to lift 50lbs or more
Preferred Qualifications

RVT, LVT, CVT, or Pre-Vet certifications are a plus. We also value candidates who are eager to grow and advance as veterinary technicians.
