Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Mechanic Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team at a large services company in Tampa, FL. As a diesel mechanic/fleet mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and detailing of commercial buses to ensure they meet business travel requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a minimum of 1 year of diesel mechanic experience, and the ability to learn quickly. They will also be able to effectively communicate and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of diesel engines and perform repairs with minimal supervision. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and completing necessary paperwork.

We offer a competitive salary, up to $28 per hour, as well as a range of benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision, and paid time off. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from candidates who do not have a college diploma.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year diesel mechanic experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to work independently and safely

Preferred:

  • 3-4 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Experience with the repair of commercial buses
  • Military background with NCO or SNCO ranks achieved
