DeSoto Parish Schools is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our Student Support Services department, you will play a vital role in improving educational performance by maximizing communication skills of each child classified as Speech Impaired.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Screen and evaluate children referred for suspected communication disorders
* Comply with Louisiana Bulletins 1706 and 1508 guidelines for procedures relating to identification, evaluation and placement of speech impaired students
* Maintain current records and time lines based on eSER requirements
* Enforce disciplinary policy campus-wide and in the classroom
* Participate in Back-to-School Night and other school events/duties as assigned
* Report job-related injuries within 48 hours of work accident to the immediate supervisor
* Develop and implement an Professional Growth Plan based the School Improvement Plan and on the previous year's observation and evaluation recommendations
* Complete a self-evaluation annually
* Perform other duties as assigned by the proper authority

**Requirements:**

* Masters Degree with ASHA Certification and Louisiana State Licensure or Masters Degree in Clinical Fellowship Year
* Louisiana ancillary teaching certificate
* Additional criteria as the Board may establish
