We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL A Driver Trainer to join our team at 160 Driving Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead classroom, yard, and road CDL Class A training sessions
  • Evaluate student progress through checklists and observation, documenting progress as needed
  • Monitor student progress, identify gaps, and provide additional assistance when necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily attendance, tracking, and evaluations
  • Emphasize safety concepts, principles, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 36 months verifiable tractor trailer driving experience
  • Clean driving record: no more than 2 driving offenses or accidents in the past 2 years and no DUI in the past 10 years
  • Physical ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and make a positive impact on students
  • Availability to teach classes Monday through Friday
  • Age 25 or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer capabilities and web browser navigation
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills
