About the Role

The Academy Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Science Teacher to implement engaging lessons aligned to standards and promote academic excellence in our students.

As a member of our teaching team, you will design, develop, and deliver quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to school guidelines. Your primary responsibility will be to teach high school level science and lab classes using lectures, technology, and hands-on learning experiences.

  • You will prepare demonstrations, assist and supervise students while conducting experiments, and evaluate student performance on tasks established by the standards.
  • Establishing a safe and inclusive classroom environment is crucial, where students feel motivated to learn and grow.

We offer a competitive salary range of $62,500 - $120,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science education or a related field is required.
  • Current NYS Certification in Science 7-12 is mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of oral and written communication skills is essential for success in this role.
