Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Centura Health Corporation - extremity. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, and vascular exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures with precision and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images and patient satisfaction.
  • Prepare patients for exams, providing clear instructions and addressing their physical and emotional needs.
  • Position patients, observe and report unusual occurrences, and document patient conditions.
  • Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of equipment/resources.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff to ensure seamless care.
  • Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required, and assist with patient transport as needed.
  • Assist with technologist duties of other registered modalities as assigned by management.
  • Participate in clinical training for students and/or staff technologists, and contribute to quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • One year of ultrasound experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.
Additional Details

Floating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified 'float zone.'
