Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Access Navigator to join our team at Ochsner Health. As an Access Navigator, you will play a critical role in managing high-end access navigation services for key areas, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with internal departments and leaders to meet the needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform direct outreach to targeted patients and schedule appointments as requested.
  • Manage and coordinate referrals via online work queues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and access navigation support to both patients and providers via web tools.
  • Develop and maintain organized record keeping systems to facilitate the flow and retrieval of information.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical departments to meet the needs of patients.
Requirements
  • 2 years' experience in appointment scheduling, customer service, or a related field.
  • Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and to stoop, bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands. Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue, and there is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
