PET/CT Technologist (Per Diem)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radioactive compounds to patients undergoing PET/CT scans.
  • Ensure patient safety by implementing and maintaining safety protocols.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform complex imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation.
  • Accomplish computer processing and image enhancement to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and reactions during scans, reporting any abnormal signs to physicians.
  • Perform PET exams, consulting with radiologists for appropriate scan procedures.
  • Gain patients' trust by obtaining pertinent history, describing procedures, and addressing questions and concerns.
  • Monitor patients' physical condition during procedures and note any specific comments that may indicate the need for additional images or be useful to physicians in interpreting results.
Requirements:
  • Diploma from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Bachelor's degree.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N) certification.
  • NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT) certification.
  • New York State License.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a related field.
Compensation and Benefits:

Up to $55 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including tuition reimbursement, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401k plan, generous PTO time, and 8 paid holidays.
