About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler Labor and Delivery to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Scheduler Labor and Delivery, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our labor and delivery department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule operative procedures, admissions, and anesthesia requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Obtain and enter insurance information, History & Physicals, and Physician Orders into our scheduling system.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and physicians.
  • Work closely with the physician office staff and L&D Supervisor/Manager to ensure accurate scheduling.
  • Edit medical accounts to a PRE status and enter outpatient procedures in the Order Entry System.
  • Pull reservations off printers and maintain open communication with the registration staff.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a scheduling or registration role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of Meditech scheduling grid and ability to learn new systems quickly.
