We are seeking a skilled Med Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop a plan of care, and implement and evaluate care
- Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
- Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
- Provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
- Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
