Culinary Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Assistant to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food to our students and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of a variety of dishes, including fruits, vegetables, meats, and soups.
• Food Presentation: Present prepared food in an appealing and appetizing manner.
• Food Service: Serve food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation and serving environment.
• Inventory Management: Assist in the management of food inventory, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members to ensure efficient food service and preparation.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous food service experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow recipes and instructions, and provide excellent customer service.
