Hawthorne Cat is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Inspection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our product support sales team, you will be responsible for representing our company as a technical expert at customer sites, conducting inspections and evaluations of heavy equipment products, and providing recommendations for repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Hawthorne Cat as a technical expert at customer sites
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of heavy equipment products to recommend repairs and maintenance
  • Complete inspection reports and other documentation as necessary
  • Utilize CTS Pro and Bucket Pro software to maximize product life and value for customers
  • Provide recommendations to product support and parts teams to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Work as a member of a team to prioritize, schedule, and complete machine inspections
  • Interact with customers to foster adoption of our complete product offerings
  • Collaborate with product support sales teams to develop and sell key customers' undercarriage and GET products
  • Act as a partner between dealers and customers concerning product problems, trends, opportunities, and customer acceptance
  • Monitor undercarriage and bucket rebuild procedures and recommend changes to improve quality and productivity
  • Collaborate in market information sessions relative to competitive activity, customer information, and product performance
  • Interact with the Corporate Customer Value Agreement (CVA) Specialist to develop and manage comprehensive undercarriage and GET fleet management programs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • One year of equipment industry or related experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to analyze data and report findings
  • Technical skills sufficient to work through product issues
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to travel outside San Diego County area up to 10% of the time
  • Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards, rules, and regulations preferred
  • Experience preparing and maintaining records and reports
  • Experience maintaining organization in a changing environment
