Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Services Nurse to join our Electrophysiology Lab team at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze patient data, develop and implement nursing care plans, and establish interpersonal relationships with patients.
  • Evaluate nursing care given and communicate relevant facts about patients, actions taken, and patient responses to proper personnel.
  • Enhance patient care by supporting and educating patients and staff, facilitating patient triage, and ensuring seamless coordinated care delivery.
  • Provide post-procedure teaching and provision of discharge instructions, collaborate with team members in coordinating discharge planning, and maintain patient records.
  • Develop and update patient education materials, facilitate team conference meetings, and follow up with patients to assess their status post-procedure.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience, with two years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Triage experience, cardiovascular ICU experience, cardiovascular stepdown experience, EP Lab experience, and Cardiovascular Short Stay experience preferred.
  • Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina and BLS certification required.
