Job Title: Clinical Specialist - Occupational Therapist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Specialist - Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric and neonatal populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to patients with a range of physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric and neonatal occupational therapy, with a focus on high-risk neurodevelopmental clinics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a Kaiser Permanente facility or similar healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience with occupational therapy modalities, including sensory integration and adaptive equipment.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish and/or other languages spoken by our patient population.
