As the Director of Information Technology, you will be responsible for shaping our technological vision, ensuring that our infrastructure, including servers, hardware, and security, operates seamlessly. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership in Information Systems

  • Technology Advocacy: Take charge of all organizational hardware and software, focusing on infrastructure.
  • Support Management: Supervise the IT help desk to ensure high-quality support and responsiveness.
  • Policy Formulation: Establish guidelines for technology procurement and maintenance, encompassing both Cloud and On-Premises solutions.

Risk Management and Performance Oversight

  • Collaborative Protection: Work with colleagues to maintain and recover business systems.
  • Policy Creation: Develop policies, procedures, data security standards, and schedules.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure system backups, maintenance, server upgrades, and patching are conducted effectively.
  • Security Protocols: Implement advanced firewalling, intrusion detection, and malware defense.

Financial Oversight

  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the IT annual budget while leading discussions on AI strategy.

Strategic Planning and Integration

  • Vision Development: Create and manage a comprehensive information systems strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Technology Requirements: Collaborate with leadership to identify technology needs, advising on evaluation, ROI, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems.
  • Decision-Making: Ensure systematic evaluations of technology options for in-house development, procurement, or outsourcing.

Enhancement of Business Systems

  • ERP Leadership: Guide the power user group to maximize ERP and other system functionalities.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and recommend enhancements to business processes.
  • Scalability Support: Facilitate company growth and scalability through strategic systems thinking.
  • Documentation Standards: Standardize processes for user clarity.
  • Development Guidance: Provide direction to the development team to effectively address business challenges.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Team Building: Cultivate a customer-focused technology team.
  • Mentorship: Support team development beyond individual skill sets.
  • Improvement Prioritization: Utilize metrics to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in managing or directing an information systems environment, including ERP.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP system utilization in a manufacturing context.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Proven success in leading strategic initiatives and achieving exceptional business outcomes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry trends, database technologies, operating systems, servers, and telecommunications hardware and software, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with paperless and mobile applications for manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in vendor contract negotiation and management.
  • Highly motivated to address business needs and enhance processes.
  • Understanding of the financial implications of business processes.
