The JCC is currently seeking a dependable and trustworthy individual for the role of **Transportation Specialist**. This position is crucial for providing safe and efficient transportation for various programs and events at the JCC. Responsibilities include transporting participants, community members, and staff, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, and maintaining the operational integrity of the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport program participants of all ages to and from events and activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor participant absences.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working condition at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers.
- Manage behavior of participants to foster a safe environment.
- Assist passengers as needed during boarding and disembarking.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Promote and practice effective communication within the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a customer-service mindset with an emphasis on diplomacy and discretion.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle unexpected situations.
- Timeliness in completing assigned routes.
Education and Experience
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification for all age groups.
