Position Summary
The Load Bank Technician, Level 1 is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small load banks, resistor racks on larger load banks, power distribution equipment, trailers, and low voltage cables. This role involves diagnosing complex equipment issues while adhering to all safety protocols. The technician ensures that all equipment is operational and ready for rental customers, utilizing cost-effective methods to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair small load banks and associated equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce the likelihood of repairs and downtime.
- Perform safety inspections on all equipment.
- Utilize hand tools, metering tools, forklifts, and shop tools effectively.
- Prepare and receive low and medium voltage cables, AC & DC load banks, generators, power distribution items, transformers, and trailers.
- Provide training and mentorship to fellow mechanics involved in equipment repairs.
- Assess the time and cost associated with repairs.
- Participate in all required training sessions and adhere to safety regulations.
