Job Summary:

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Denver, Colorado. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures, providing top-notch patient care, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews patient history, physician's orders, and schedules exams to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to change in status as appropriate.
  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters to ensure high-quality imaging results.
  • Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results to identify issues with imaging quality.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
