Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Neurology ICU RN role at Harborview Medical Center offers a unique opportunity to work in a Magnet/Teaching/Level 1 Trauma hospital setting. As a key member of the team, you will provide care for neurosurgery, neurology, and epilepsy patients, including managing cases such as traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, craniectomy, aneurysm clipping and coiling, spinal cord injury, strokes, seizure, epilepsy, change in mental status, telemetry.
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, with strong neuro experience, IV start, telemetry, and care for tracheostomy. Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is also essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing situations. In addition to providing exceptional patient care, you will also contribute to the development of the nursing team through education and mentorship.

You will also need to be proficient in electronic medical records and have a strong understanding of infection control practices. In addition, you will be required to take and pass a required EKG exam and participate in non-billable module training sessions.
