Job Summary

Kett Engineering is seeking a skilled Emissions Technician to conduct thorough emission tests on vehicles, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of emission testing processes and have experience working with various types of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct emission tests on vehicles, including exhaust emissions, road testing, and miscellaneous testing in a climatic chamber
  • Ensure accuracy and conclusiveness of test results, managing test data and reporting results to the Emissions Lab Manager
  • Operate and control test cell systems, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with the Emissions Lab Manager to evaluate and improve test procedures
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of emission testing regulations and industry standards

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on emission testing
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of emission testing processes and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Volkswagen and/or Audi diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and software
  • Fluency in German and/or Spanish language
  • Formal customer service training
